Pilates classes

Yoga with Claudia

Postures are tailored to allow for all abilities, from beginners to advanced yogis alike, and poses are modified for injuries or other physical restrictions any students may be living with.

Yoga isn’t all about difficult and challenging poses. Every pose should be practised mindfully, supported with the breath, and learning from the experience. The challenge in every pose is what we learn from it, whether that is headstand or sitting cross legged.

Conscious breathing strengthens and oxygenates the body, the heart and the lungs. Through this we learn how to access the parasympathetic nervous system, the place of relaxation and calm within all of us. It teaches us focus and concentration – the skills required for meditation.

Meditation and relaxation help us to find the quiet and peaceful place within us, and to connect with the universal energy that we are all a part of. Each class ends with meditation and guided relaxation.

Classes start Friday 13th of January 2023 from 2:00-3:00pm.

These sessions are for adults aged 18 years and over. Children aged 12-17 are welcome to participate with a parent.

Pilates

Pilates Classes

Our pilates classes will take place every Wednesday, 2:00-2:45pm.

Pilates is a safe and gentle way to develop a person’s strength, coordination and balance. The exercises can help to improve performance in sports, such as football and netball, encourage better posture, and build greater confidence and bodily awareness.

Classes are run by Pilates Teacher Becky Rostron.

Personal Training

Personal training within sports therapy is a course designed to help people of all ages and activity levels to become more active and achieve their fitness goals.

Starting with an initial consultation to find out your background and history (including medication, injuries and activity status), we will work with you to put an effective personal training plan in place. These courses range from 8-12 weeks and are tailored to your own individual goals, whether that is to gain strength or simply just improve your movement.

With just two 60 minute sessions a week that are designed to be suitable for anyone with any equipment (from tins of beans to dumbbells), we will create the perfect training plan for you.
