Who can benefit from cosmetic podiatry?
Cosmetic podiatry can provide a benefit for any patient who is unhappy with the appearance of their feet after they have experienced problems. While we do our best to avoid any habits or lifestyle choices that will have a negative impact on our bodies, we often can’t stop problems from developing by themselves.
Cosmetic podiatry, as the name suggests, is mostly focused on addressing the appearance of the feet. For the majority of problems, there is an underlying problem that is causing the issues, for example an odour problem could be related to a fungal infection in the toes. By treating the problem, we not only help to improve the appearance of the feet during the initial treatment but we can help to stop it from reoccurring. Correcting the source of the problems is key to ensuring that you take the first steps to renewed happiness and confidence in your feet.
Cosmetic Podiatry Treatments
Medical Pedicure
Luxury foot therapy. Hard skin, cracked heels, corns and callus are treated to improve the skin’s appearance. Toenails are cut, filed and shaped. Feet and lower legs are cleansed and exfoliated, before the choice of paraffin wax therapy, cooling or deep moisturising foot mask. This is followed by a massage using nourishing oil. The treatment ends with the application of Dr’s Remedy Enriched Nail Care Polish.
Lower leg and foot massage therapy
Circulation is boosted using warm oils and massage to ease lower limb tension.
Warm paraffin wax therapy
Stimulates circulation and eases painful, sore muscles and stiff joints. Beneficial for plantar fasciitis, areas of arthritis, eczema and psoriasis.
Nail reconstruction
A gel system designed specifically for toenails. It is an extremely elastic UV gel, which adapts to the movements of the toe. It’s unique adhesive properties mean that good results can even be achieved on callused layers of skin where there is no toenail. The anti-mycotic agent Olamine Piroctone protects against and treats fungal infection.
Prendē pedicure – facial for feet
Designed by a team of podiatrists and beauty professionals. Carefully chosen products and ingredients are backed up by scientific techniques to deliver the most amazing and relaxing foot therapy. Following dermatological, neurological and vascular assessments, hard skin, corns and cracked heels are reduced to improve the skin’s appearance.
Toenails are cut and filed. Within the pedicure treatment there is a concentrated focus on gently exfoliating dead skin cells with Himalayan and Epsom Salt Scrub. Prendē Intense Cleansing Balm is applied to deeply cleanse and refresh tired feet. Massage rituals aid relaxation, and the application of Prendē Paraffin Wax adds to the luxury. The treatment is completed with the application of Dr’s Remedy Enriched Nail Care Polish.
